The Scriptures

Search the Scriptures

When the Lord told the Pharisees to search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life.
He was not instructing them to search through translated scripts.

Those sacred Hebrew writings were the actual writings of the prophets handed down to the True Hebrew Israelites  from generation to generation. That was memorized by every True Hebrew Israelite from their childhood

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:  And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
 And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart:

 And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

And you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

And you shall write them on the posts of your house, and on your gates.

These sacred Hebrew writings were  read every Sabbath day in their synagogues under both covenants;

 Acts 13 :27, For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

 Acts 15 :21 21 For Moses of old time has in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.
